The enemy of my enemy is my disposable minion army
When the Spanish arrived in Latin America, they discovered many civilizations that had already settled in the continent decades ago. One of them was the Tlaxcalans, a group of people who attacked the colonizers as soon as they set foot on their territory.
However, once the Tlaxcalans realized that the Spanish intended to overthrow the Aztec emperor Moctezuma II, they didn’t hesitate to take their side. The reason why they did that was simple: they would help anyone that could help them defeat their enemies. Talk about resentment!
