Winston Churchill is now considered one of the most influential world leaders ever because he rallied the British to fight the Nazis in WWII. There is no better example of how effective a communicator he was than his speech about fighting on the beaches.

It ended with: “We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.” You can’t read that and not feel shivers all over.
